Keith & Edie Thomas - Lawrenceville Georgia:

Welcome to WindStar Alaskan Malamutes. I invite you to look around our website at our beautiful family of Malamutes. Over thirteen years ago, my husband was working in the land surveying business. He came upon a gorgeous dog "woo woo"ing him from the other side of a fence. He looked up and saw this sweet boy hanging over the fence. When he came home that night he told me, "The next dog we get, I would like it to be an Alaskan Malamute." I did some research on the breed and decided that yes, I too wanted a Malamute. That is when we got our first Malamute, Brutus who we lost at the age of 14.

Brutus gave so much to us that I felt compelled to try and give something back to the breed. At that point, I decided that I would like to show them. I had read that you need to buy the best you can afford and I began my search for a show bitch. That's why I purchased my first show dog, Hope, CH. Wild Wind's Royal Diamond. Little did I know in the beginning just what I had in Hope. Hope would end up an AMCA Grand Sweepstakes Winner, and Ranked in the Top 20 in both All Breed Points & BOB Points over her show career.

Hope was a wonderful first show dog and a great special, but we have changed directions with our breeding program. We now have a new beginning and a new foundation with Sierra, Ch. WindStar's Moonlight Serenade. Sierra is a Mr. Wookie (BISS Int/Am Ch. Malko's Wookie Of Kunek WPD CGC) daughter. We are very excited about what Sierra has produced and we are looking forward to the future with her offspring.

Please have a look at our beautiful family of Malamutes that we have here or that we have produced. We have a small breeding program but we strive for the very best in health, temperament, and breed type. Although our Malamutes have done very well in the show ring, they make wonderful loving pets too.
